NEWBURYPORT MAN, DAUGHTER BURIED
NEWBURYPORT. Dec. 20 - Double funeral service were held today for Trueman J. Morris and his 15-months-old daughter, Mary Cora, victims of a fire following an oil stove explosion in their home on Beck street Tuesday.
Military rites were accorded Morris by Newburyport Post 150, American Legion, although his war service was with the Canadian forces. Joining with the Legionnaires were the local Veterans of Foreign Wars post, a detail of marines from the Portsmouth navy yard, and representatives of the Canadian veterans post of Andover and the disabled American Veterans post of Haverhill.
There was a solemn high mass at the Church of St. Aloysius de Gonzaga, with the Rev. Armand Provost, the celebrant, and burial was in St. Mary's cemetery.
