OBITUARY:
Wellwood, Helen Marie - 60, 1135 Lake Wood Rd., Kings Co., passed away
Saturday, October 21, 2000, in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born
in Grand Pre, she was a daughter of the late James and Kathleen (Keating)
Norton. She had been a resident of the valley all her life. She worked at
the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville, for many years. She also worked for
the Zeller's department store and Lakeville General store for a number of
years. Surviving are her husband, Marshall; sons, Robert and wife Patsy,
Woodville; Paul and wife Brenda, Dartmouth; Gregory and Yvonne, Cambridge,
Kings Co; daughter, Wendy and her husband, Billy MacDonald, Auburn;
brothers, Donald Norton, Wolfville; Robert (Honey) Norton, Berwick; sisters,
Linda Hawkins, Halifax; Ruth Weagle, Halifax; three grandchildren; two
great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by sons, Anthony and Derrick;
brothers, Harold and Fred; sister, Eva; Remains are resting in H.C. Lindsay
Funeral Chapel, Kentville. Visitation will be 3-5, 7-9 p.m., today in the
chapel, where funeral service will be held 2 pm. Tuesday, Rev. Elias Mutuale
officiating. Interment in the Elm Grove Cemetery. Donations to the Canadian
Diabetes Association, the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia, Kidney
Foundation of Canada, Nova Scotia Branch or the Lupus Society of Nova
Scotia.
