OBITUARY:
Lewis, Frederick Elmer - 62, 9 Snowdon Ave., Amherst, died May 15, 1992 at
home. Born in Five Islands, he was a son of the late Blair and Violet Lewis.
He worked as a coal miner in Cape Breton and Springhill for 25 years and
worked in the woods. He is survived by his wife, the former Shirley Rees;
three daughters, Irene (Mrs. Clarence McLean), Amherst; Sheila, Summerside;
Linda, Germany; four sons, David, Oshawa, Ont.; Lawrence, Kevin, both of
Amherst; Liam Wayne, at home; sister, June Robinson, Amherst; 13
grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter,
Wanda Lynn. The body is in Campbell's Funeral Home, Amherst, visiting 2-4,
7-9 p.m. Sunday, where funeral will be 3 p.m. Monday, Rev. David Bruce
officiating. Burial will be in Amherst Cemetery.
