married at Pugwash, Cumberland County, Nova Scotia on January 23, 1861

 

Extract from the Inverness Courier, Thursday March 7, 1861, at page 8

 

At Pictou, Nova Scotia, B.N. America, on the 23d January, by the Rev. Thomas Tallach, A.M., of St Matthews’s Church,

Pugwash, brother-in-law of the bridegroom, EDWARD MORTIMER, Esq., of Ceylon, Planter, to MARGARET ANNE, only

daughter of Roderick Mackenzie, Esq., Merchant, Pictou.

 

A similar report appears in the Greenock Advertiser of Saturday March 9, 1861.  (Possibility of a printing or transcription error – 23rd or 22nd Jan.)
