DOWE (Hendsbee), Doris Leona

Age 74, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends in Musquodoboit Harbour on January 11, 2014. Born in Half Island Cove, she was the daughter of the late Lockie and Marion Hendsbee. She is lovingly
survived by her children Hugh "Sonny" and Michelle (Ray). Cherished grandmother of Darcy, Rachel, and Nicholas. She was beloved sister to Lois (Don) Grant, Helen (Earl) Grover, and Richard (Marg) Hendsbee. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Hughie and brother, Wayne (Bonnie) Hendsbee. She will be fondly remember by her family and friends for her passion for the Blue Jays. The family would like to would like to extend a heartfelt thank you for the compassionate care provided by the staff of Twin Oaks Memorial Hospital. Cremation has taken place under the care of Rowling's Funeral Home, Musquodoboit Harbour. A visitation will be held Friday, January 17 from 7-9 p.m., in Rowling's Funeral Home. KEATS, Germaine "Ninnie" - Born 1928 in Dominion, Cape Breton, passed away
June 11, 2005, at home, in Valley View Villa, Middle Musquodoboit. She was a
daughter of Victor Greucci and Germaine Bartell. She is survived by son,
Hughie (Doris) Dowe; grandson, Hugh Jr., Calgary, Alta.; granddaughter,
Michelle Dowe, Cold Lake, Alta.; great-grandchildren, Darcy, Rachel and
Nicholas. She was predeceased by four brothers and three sisters; first
husband, Aubrey Dowe; second husband, Jim Keats. The remains will rest in
Rowlings Funeral Home, Musquodoboit Harbour, with visitation today from 2-4
and 6-8 p.m. Graveside service will be held by V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home
in Forest Haven Cemetery, Sydney, at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 15, Rev. Stacey
officiating. Flowers from immediate family only. Donations may be made to
Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
