Lawrence Havelock Spence -- 76, 93 Junction Road, Springhill, died Saturday in All Saints Hospital, Springhill. Born in River Hebert, he was a son of the late Murdock and Hattie Spence. He was a member of the Cumberland Lodge No. 5, K. of P., and was an adherent of St. Andrew's Wesley United Church, Springhill. He was a coal miner all his life, and a woodsman. He is survived by his wife, the former Cynthia Viola Pettigrew; a son: Douglas, Chatham, N.B.; three daughters: Marie, Mrs. Leroy Brown, Springhill; Beverly, Mrs. Allison Harvie, Kentville; Gloria, Mrs. Eric King, Abbotsford, B.C.; five sisters: Mrs. Stella Spence, Springhill; Mrs. Vera Kendall, Charlotte, Mrs. Ambrose Somerton, both of Halifax; Violet, Mrs. Len Parker, Grand Bend, Ontario; Frances, Mrs. Foster Dodsworth, Ottawa; ten grandchildren; five great grandchildren; two step grandchildren. He was predeceased by an infant son: Donald Edward; three brothers: James; Namen; Austin; three sisters: Mina; Olive; (?). The body is in A. H. Brown Funeral Home, Springhill where visiting hours will be 7 - 9 p.m. Monday, 2 -4; 7- 9 p.m. Tuesday, and where funeral will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Rev. Father Elroy McKillop officiating. Burial in Hillside Cemetery, Springhill.

DODSWORTH, Foster
Foster Dodsworth passed away. Husband and best friend of Frances. Father of
Barry (Joanne), Brian (Chris) (deceased), grandfather to Brandon (Melissa),
and great- grandfather to Kayden and Melyna. Foster was the son of Edith and
Edward Dodsworth (N.S). Brother of Bob (ON), Joe (N.B.) and Lester (P.E.I.).
Uncle to numerous nieces and nephews. A Visitation will be held at Beechwood
Cemetery, 280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa on June 15, 2016 from 11 a.m. to 12
noon. Funeral Service to follow.
