Title: Re: [nscumber] strange message
Ignore!

Recently, I’ve been receiving several of these a week from e-mail addresses of people in my address book but it’s not from them.

Another scam going around this week is a phone call from someone who claims to be from Canada Revenue Agency saying there are court charges against me for money owing and if I didn’t call this phone number immediately to arrange payment, an arrest warrant would be issued in my name.

Read today’s Chronicle Herald, page A6.

Karim Baratov, a 22 year-old Canadian of Kazakh origins, and three others (two of them Russians), are alleged to have hacked into Yahoo’s systems and stole information from more than 500 million user accounts.

“nscumber” is a Yahoo item. Need I say more.

Subject: [nscumber] strange message

Would any one know why I would get a message from Staples that a package had been shipped using nscumber@.... This disturbed me since I am not expecting a package from any company.

Thanks, Freda
