Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Emmerson
James DesBarres age 76, on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at his residence in
Sackville, NB.

Born in Minudie, NS he was a son of the late Fred and Mary (Landry)
DesBarres.

Emmerson is survived by his sons, Terry DesBarres , Amherst and Troy
DesBarres, Halifax; sisters, Joan (Carvel) Burke, Amherst, Barb MacPhee,
Ontario; brothers, Lester (Gladys), Donald (Mary), and Gerald (Bonnie Yorke)
all of Ontario; as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family;
special, friend Gordon Beal.

In addition to his parents, Emmerson was predeceased by brothers, Arnold and
Burnell; sister in law, Bev DesBarres.

A time of visitation will be held on Friday, March 10, 2017 from 7:00 ­ 9:00
pm with parish prayers at 8:00 pm in Campbell¹s Funeral Home 98 Church St.,
Amherst (902) 667-9906. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 11:00
am from St. Paul the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, River Hebert with Father
Phil Thibodeau officiating and a reception to follow. Interment will take
place at a later date in St. Denis Cemetery in Minudie.

In lieu of floral tributes, memorial contributions in Emmerson¹s memory may
be made to a local charity of your choice.
