Sackville, N.B.- It is with sadness that the family of Oscar Norman Cole, announce his passing at the Sackville Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, November 1, 2011. Oscar was 74 years of age.
Born in Sackville, N.B. on December 7, 1936, he was the son of the late Elena (Scott) and Herbert Cole.
Oscar worked for 23 years at Enterprise Foundry in Sackville, was a Commissionaire for many years, worked at Mel’s Tea Room and the old BA Restaurant in past years. He especially enjoyed being on the boat with his son Larry and loved spending time with his family and grandchildren. Oscar will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Oscar will be greatly missed by his wife of 33 years, Juanita (Delaney) Cole of Sackville, N.B.; three sons, Larry Cole of Toronto, Ontario, David (Susanne) Cole of Moncton, N.B. and Richard Boutilier of Sackville, N.B.; daughter, Lorie-Ann (Norman) Wells of Sackville, N.B.; two brothers, Leroy (Margie) Cole and Allan (Donna) Cole, both of Ontario; five grandchildren, Shawn (Beth), Anthony, Morgan, Carman and Trish; two great-grandchildren, Delilah and Noah; uncle, Robert Scott who resides at the Drew Nursing Home in Sackville, as well as several other aunts and uncles; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was pre-deceased by his brother, Russell Cole; sister, Pearl Goodwin; grandson, Brandon Cole and by his granddaughter, Monica Cole.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B. (364-8188). Cremation has taken place and visiting hours took place at the funeral home on Saturday, November 5, 2011, from 2-4 p.m. The Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #26, Sackville, held a service at 3 p.m.. The funeral service was held at the funeral home on Sunday, November 6, 2011, at 2 p.m. with Father Kevin Stockall officiating. Burial will take place in the Sackville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Oscar may be made to the Canadian Cancer Research Society or to the charity of one’s choice.

Alberta M. Cole SACKVILLE, NB - The death of Alberta M. Cole, age 65, of Sackville, occurred suddenly at her home on Tuesday, December 2, 2003. Born in Parrsboro, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Lillian (MacLelland) Ells. She was a member of the Salvation Army in Amherst. She is survived by two sons, Larry (Hiltrude) of Mississauga, ON and David of Sackville; their father, Oscar Cole of Sackville; one brother, Louis of Pennfield, NB; two sisters, Mrs. Robert Kaye (Bernice), and Lois Remington both of Sackville, NB; two grandchildren. She was predeceased by three brothers, Handley, Ralph and Jules. The remains are resting at the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville, NB (364-1300) on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will take place on Saturday, December 6, 2003 at 11 am, Pastor Barry Todd officiating. Burial will follow in the Sackville Cemetery. www.jonesfuneralhome.ca
