Jamieson, Donalda ³Donnie² - 91, Pugwash River, passed away February 27,
2017, at Gable¹s Lodge, Amherst. Born in Pugwash, she was a daughter of the
late Charles Aubrey and Ida DeWolfe (Dingle) VanBuskirk. While raising her
family she was also well known as a very capable seamstress; worked for over
20 years as a PCW at the Sunset Home; and for over 40 years assisted her
husband Leo as caretaker of the Cyrus Eaton Thinkers Lodge. She was a member
of the Rebekah Silver Spray Lodge #1, Pugwash and the Pugwash Memorial
Baptist Church. Surviving are her sons, Gerald (Ruby Mason), Amherst, Brian
(Debbie), Eureka, Pictou Co., Robert (Heather) Airdrie, AB., Craig (Denise)
Nanaimo, B.C,; daughter-in-law, Mary Jamieson, Pugwash River; several grand
and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and good friend Lennie; sister,
Greta Dow, Amherst. She will be sadly missed by all her family. Besides her
parents she was predeceased by her husband, Leo; sons, Phillip in infancy
and Ronald; daughter, Beverly; daughter-in-law, Eleanor; sisters, Bessie
Brownell, Gladys Atkinson and identical twin ³Deedie² Reid; brother, Charles
VanBuskirk. Visitation from 1-2 pm; funeral service at 2 pm with a reception
to follow, all in Mundle¹s Funeral Home, 204 Water St., Pugwash (902)
243-2506, Thursday, March 2, 2017. Rev Jack Briggins officiating. Family
flowers only. Donations in memory may be made to the Pugwash River Cemetery;
