LINKLETTER, George A. ³Geordie²

Linkletter, George A. ³Geordie² ­ Age 90, of Lower Five Islands passed away
peacefully on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at the South Cumberland Community
Care Centre, Parrsboro. Born in Economy, he was a son of the late Norman and
Thelma (Davis) Linkletter. Geordie was a member of Corinthian Masonic Lodge
#63, Great Village serving in numerous capacities. He enjoyed music,
especially the open mics and jams throughout the area. He is survived by a
daughter, Judy Laing, Lower Five Islands; daughter in law, Rosemarie
(Linkletter) Black, Markdale, Ont.; grandchildren, Allan Linkletter
(Louise), London, Ont.; Lori-Ann St.-Jean (Larry), Powassan, Ont.; Joy
Appleyard, Grand Valley, Ont.; Theresa Laing, Lower Five Islands; great
grandchildren, Stephen, Natasha, Devon, Cole; several nieces and nephew. He
was predeceased by his wife, the former Hazel Fletcher in 2013; a son,
Keith; sisters, Mona, Norma; brothers, Harry, Elson. A memorial service will
be held in the Peniel United Church, Five Islands at a later date. Memorial
donations may be made to the South Cumberland Community Care Centre
Foundation or to Peniel United Church.
