OBITUARY:
Ripley, Byron Andrew - 37, 10 Dickie St., Amherst, died April 8, 1994, in
Highland View Regional Hospital, Amherst. Born in River Hebert, he was a son
of the late Andrew and Grace (Murray) Ripley. He attended school in River
Hebert where he was raised. He later moved to Calgary, Alta., where he
worked for Canadian Pacific Railways for a number of years, returning to
Amherst in 1989. He is survived by three half-sisters, Patricia Austin,
Glace Bay; Ruth McAllister, Sault Ste. Marie, Ont.; Carol Jacobs, Timmins,
Ont.; three half-brothers, Douglas Holt, Minto, N.B.; John Holt, Dartmouth;
Jerry Holt, Toronto; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was
predeceased by two half-brothers, David, Donald. Cremation has taken place
under the direction of Campbell's Funeral Home, Amherst. A graveside service
will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in River Hebert Cemetery, Rev. Darlene Gidge-Bartlett
officiating. Donations may be made to AIDS Nova Scotia.
