I have Margaret Totten as his wife married in 1956.  Margaret also married Ralph Leon Winter.  I'm not positive as to whether she is the mother though.

At least one of the Varner’s in Springhill [Stanley Kenneth Varner] was also known as aka Sonny Viner. Do you have any info on who the the mother of his children was in the obit below as Varner is one of your research lines?

I was searching Viner on the N.S. vitals and came across John Maynard who’s death record I didn’t have.

OBITUARY:
Varner, Stanley Kenneth - 59, Albion Street, Amherst, died Wednesday in Highland View Regional Hospital, Amherst. Born in Parrsboro, he was a son of the late Harold and Eva (Embree) Varner. He was a member of Springhill Corps of the Salvation Army. He is survived by three daughters, Eva (Mrs. Walter MacDonald), Georgina (Mrs. Ronald Venus), both of Amherst; Gail, Pugwash; two sons, Stanley, John, both of Amherst; a sister, Jean (Mrs. Morris Canning), Amherst; a brother, Gerald, Springhill; four grandchildren. He was predeceased by two infant daughters. The body is in A.H. Brown Funeral Home, Springhill, where funeral will be 2 p.m. Today, Lieut. Rudy and Ivy Simmonds officiating. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Springhill.

He lived a short time.  John Maynard Varner born Sep 1918 at Glasgow Mountain, son of George Thulbert (Fred) and Leah Mabel (Bowden) Varner.  Died 12 May 1920, Glasgow Mountain.
