OBITUARY:
Ripley, Grace Louise - 78, 64 Havelock Sr., Amherst, formerly of River
Hebert, Cumberland County and Minto, N.B., died Monday in Highland View
Regional Hospital, Amherst. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late
Bill and Isabel (Patterson) Murray. She was a member of the Royal Canadian
Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Amherst; Royal True Blue Lodge, Amherst; Mariam
Rebekah Lodge, Amherst; International Organization of Good Templars and
several other lodges. She is survived by two daughters, Ruth McAllister,
Sault Ste. Marie, Ont.; Carol Jacobs, Timmons, Ont.; four sons, Gerald Holt,
Toronto; John Holt, Dartmouth; Douglas Holt, Minto; Byron Rilpey, Amherst;
two sisters, Evelyn Turnbull, Fredericton; Ruth Lawson, Minto; a brother,
Eli Murray, Amherst; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; several
nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Donald; five brothers,
Charlie, Clifford, Merrial, Herbie, Freddie; her first husband, Thomas Holt;
her second husband, Andrew Ripley. The body is in Campbell's Funeral Home,
Amherst, where funeral will be 9:30 a.m., today, Rev. James Fraser
officiating. Burial will be in River Hebert Cemetery. Donations may be made
to Canadian Cancer Society or Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
