JAMES, Margaret Marie - 78, Dartmouth, passed away peacefully Friday,
October 4, 2002, in VG Site, QEII. Born in Parkers Cove, Annapolis Co., she
was a daughter of the late Bernard and Bessie (Campbell) Hudson. She was a
resident of Dartmouth for the past 50 years. She was a member of Woodlawn
United Church where, in her earlier years, she taught Sunday school.
Margaret was an elementary school teacher for several years and had also
worked for Simpson-Sears, Fairy Aviation and McCulloch's Building Supply.
She retired in 1988 from Dartmouth Vocational School. She was an active
member of Dartmouth Lawn and Bowling Club for eight years. She was an avid
reader, loved crosswords and cryptoquotes. She was an active volunteer for
various charitable organizations. She is survived by loving husband of 50
years, Elliott; son, Brian (Susan), Lower Sackville and will be sadly missed
by only grandchildren, Nicholas and Andrew; sister, Bernice Hannam (Gerald),
Annapolis Royal; one niece; several nephews. She was predeceased by brother,
Elman. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. today in
Atlantic Funeral Home, Dartmouth. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m.
Tuesday, October 8, in Woodlawn United Church, Woodlawn Road, Rev. Gordon
Murray and Mrs. Diane Hill officiating. Reception to follow in the church
hall. Family interment will take place in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens. In
lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society,
