MacCready, Constance Julia - 99, Halifax, passed away April 26, 2000, in Melville Lodge.  She previously resided in Victoria Hall for 15 years.  Born in Springfield, N. B., she lived her earlier years in Amherst and was the former Constance Cresswell, daughter of the late Rev. and Mrs. A. J. Cresswell.  She was employed for 36 years with the province of Nova Scotia, working for the department of highways under 6 different ministers.  She was a keen sports fan and kept informed and interested in all worldwide events.  She was very musical and an accomplanised (sic) pianist.  For many years she was a volunteer of the Red Cross.  She is survived by a son, C. Philip MacCready and wife Irene; granddaughters Susan (Mrs. John Mahtab), Nancy (Mrs. Alan Williams) and four great-grandchildren, all of Halifax; daughter-in-law Evelyn, two granddaughters, Diane (Mrs. Dean Coppen), Elizabeth (Mrs. James Seere),** and four great-grandchildren, all of Winnipeg.  She was predeceased by son, David, Winnipeg; sisters, Hilda Cresswell, Elsie (Mrs. W. B. Proctor); brother, Kenneth Cresswelll, (all of Halifax). Cremation has taken place.  A memorial service will be held Wednesday, May 3, at 2 p.m. in St. Georges Anglican Church, 2222 Brunswick St., Rev. Eldie Richard officiating.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to any charity.

Would anyone have the obituary for her published in the Chronicle Herald 2000-4-28? Also published in the Halifax D-N, 2000-4-28, 29, 30  She was born in Amherst ca 1901.
