SPENCER'S ISLAND -- Mrs. William S. McLellan, 86, Spencer's Island, died Saturday, Nov. 30, 1974 in Harbour View Lodge, Advocate. Born in Spencer's Island, she was the former Mae Louise Spicer a daughter of the late Dewis and Emma (Parsons) Spicer. Surviving are three daughters, Emily (Mrs. Edgar Curry) Spencer's Island; Willina (Mrs. Robert Reicker), Saint John, N.B.; Bernice (Mrs. Henry Myers, Harwick, Mass.; a sister, Gertrude (Mrs. Robert Hughes), Spencer's Island; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband. The body rested at Union Church, Spencer's Island, where funeral service was held at 2 p.m., Tuesday. John Moses officiating. Burial was in the Advocate Cemetery.

Spencer's Island - The death of William Steele McLellan of Spencer's Island occurred suddenly at his home on his 74th birthday, Thursday, February 12th. His death, which shocked and saddened the community came from a heart seizure. He was the son of Robert Baxter & Emily Steele McLellan, Spencer's Island. He is survived by his wife, the former May Spicer; three daughters, Wilena, (Mrs. Robert Reicker), Saint John, N.B.; Bernice (Mrs. Louis Meyers), Ballardville, Mass.; and Emily (Mrs. Edgar Currie), Spencer's Island. Funeral arrangements have not been made.

FUNERAL: William S. McLellan
Spencer's Island - The funeral of the late William Steele McLellan was held from the Spencer's Island Union Church on Sunday afternoon, February 15. Rev. George Gough conducted the service with the Advocate choir in attendance. The hymns sung were "The Lord's My Shepherd" and "When On My Day Of Life The Night Is Falling". The profusion of beautiful tributes and largely attended funeral service testified to the high regard in which the deceased was held. The pallbearers were fellow Masons who also conducted their service. Relatives and friends from Glenholme, Ballardville, Mass., Saint John, N.B., Halifax, Yarmouth, Hantsport, Parrsboro, Port Greville and Advocate attended the funeral. Besides his wife, the former Mary Spicer and three daughters, Bernice (Mrs. H.L. Meyers), Ballardville; Wilena (Mrs. R.M. Reicker) Saint John and Emily (Mrs. E.R. Currie) Spencer's Island, the late Mr. McLellan is survived by one brother, Stephen McLellan, Spencer's Island; four sisters, Kathleen (Mrs. John A. Spicer) Spencer's Island; Margaret (Mrs. Harley MacDougall) Apple River; Holly (Mrs. E.C. Libby) Dorchester, Mass.; and Gladys (Mrs. Jack Graham), Seattle. There were also eight grandchildren. Interment was in the family lot at Advocate.

There are also eight grandchildren. Funeral held on Sunday Feb. 15 from Spencer's Island Union Church Interment in family lot at Advocate Harbour. No dates on clipping.
