Levy, Harold R.

LEVY, Harold R. - 89, Jenks Avenue, Parrsboro, and formerly of Lunenburg
passed away Tuesday, December 14, 1999, in Highland View Regional
Hospital, Amherst. Born on Little Tancook Island, Lunenburg Co., he was
a son of the late Rodger and Alice (Mossman) Levy. He lived in Lunenburg
for more than 50 years and since 1995 has resided in Parrsboro. He was
an avid outdoor person enjoying hunting, fishing, golfing, and skeet
shooting. His keen sense of humor and his stories about his days of
fishing and hunting will be long remembered. He was a fisherman, long
liner captain and boatbuilder. Since his retirement 35 years ago, he has
enjoyed duck decoy carving and gardening. He is survived by his wife,
the former Janet Levy; son, Ron and his wife Sally, Parrsboro; sisters,
Helen Lockhart and her husband Bruce, Victoria, B.C.; Gene Wilneff and
her husband Joseph, Glace Bay; Vera Publicover, Blandford; brother,
Scott and his wife Marjorie, Little Tancook Island; granddaughters,
Louanne Henwood and her husband Eric, Parrsboro; Debbi Levy-Kay and her
husband Jeff, Truro; Krista Levy-Odlin and her husband Keith, Parrsboro;
Lana, Parrsboro; grandsons, Michael Levy, Calgary; Glenn Levy and his
wife Lori, Southampton; 12 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by
sisters, Pearl, and a sister in infancy; brothers, Stewart, Maurice,
Hughie, and a brother in infancy; two great-grandchildren. Visitation
2-4, 7-9 p.m. today, in Smith's Funeral Home, Parrsboro, where funeral
will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, Rev. James Bushell officiating. Burial in
the Parrsboro United Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the
Canadian Cancer Society or to the Trinity United Church, Parrsboro.

Stonehouse, Frederick A. (Fred)

STONEHOUSE, Frederick A. (Fred) - 53, Hillsborough, N.B., died December
27, 1992, in George Dumont Hospital, Moncton, N.B. Born in Millvale,
Cumberland County, he was a son of Layton and Lila (Stevens) Stonehouse,
Oxford. For most of his life he lead a successful career in the car
sales business, working for several dealers in the Moncton area. He was
a recipient of numerous achievement awards both provincially and
nationally during his career as sales manager. He is survived by a
daughter, Beth (Mrs. Bryant Rasmussin), Hillsborough; son, Alger,
Moncton; sister, Sally (Mrs. Ronald Levy), Parrsboro; brother, Bertie,
Sydney; a grandson; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. The body
is in Tuttles Funeral Home, 214 Pine Glen Rd., Riverview, N.B., visiting
2-4, 7-9 p.m. today, where funeral will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday. In lieu
of flowers, donations may be made to Kidney Foundation of Canada. A
memorial will be erected in Millvale United Church Cemetery at a later
date.
