OBITUARY: John W. Clark

Parrsboro - John W. Clark, 58, of Port Coquitlam, B.C., and Parrsboro, died
Wednesday in Vancouver.

Born in Parrsboro, he was a son of the late George and Fauline (Yorke)
Clarke.

During the Second World War he served with the Merchant Navy, and for the
past 20 years was an organizer with the Restaurant and hotel workers union
of British Columbia.

He is survived by his wife, Merlyn; a son, Douglas, Auckland, New Zealand; a
sister, Eleanor (Mrs. Roland Jeffers), Parrsboro; four brothers, Georgie and
Hughie, both of Parrsboro; Roy, Calgary; Paul, Berwick.

The body is in Smith's Funeral Home, Parrsboro, where the funeral will be 1
p.m. today, Rev. Andrew Stirling officiating. Burial will be in Diligent
River Baptist Cemetery.

Died in Royal Columbian Hospital, New Westminster, B.C. of "undetermined",
still under investigation. His m/2 was nee Merlyn Dorothy Grenkow
