CLIFFORD W. FIFE JR., 72 WORCESTER - Clifford W. Fife Jr., 72, of 19A Fairhaven Road, a retired steel plant superintendent, died Saturday in Grandstrand Regional Medical Center, Myrtle Beach, S.C., after a short illness. He leaves his wife of 54 years, Dorothy A. (Briggs) Fife; two sons, Clifford W. Fife Jr. of Worcester and Robert E. Fife of Rutland; two daughters, Annette P. Fife of Worcester and Viola T. Wardell of Greenfield; a brother, Austin Fife of Little River, S.C.; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and nephews and nieces. He was born in Worcester, son of Gordon and Pearl L. (Myers) Fife, and lived 35 years in Holden before moving here in 1991. He attended Worcester Boys Trade High School. Mr. Fife worked 46 years at Holbrook Drop Forge, now Kom Tek, retiring in 1989 as plant superintendent. He was a member of Greendale People's Church. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Feb. 20 in Greendale People's Church, 25 Francis St. Burial will be private. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Greendale People's Church Selah Memorial Fund, 25 Francis St., Worcester 01606. Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden, is directing arrangements.
