Margaret Ann (MacKinnon) Thistle White

I have her as m/1 21 Dec 1935 to Samuel John Thistle from Trinity Bay,
Nfld., who died 28 Nov 1938.

Cyril, Patricia and Sam are believed to be "Thistle".

Samuel John Thistle was m/1 28 Dec 1915 to widow, Sarah (Butts) Mansfield
who died 20 Oct 1935 at age 57.

If son, Cyril Thistle was born 1933 per his obit, then at age 55 in 1933,
Sarah Butts is possibly not his birth mother.

Cyril Thistle

THISTLE, Cyril - It is with profound sadness the family announces his
passing on September 5, 2009, in his 76th year. He was predeceased early
this year by the love of his life, his beloved wife Jackie (McKenzie) of 56
years. He leaves behind five children: Sonny, Dave (Claudette), Ralph, Jeff
(Bronwen), and Sherry (John) Knight. Beloved Poppa to Josh (Margaret),
Jerry, Jesse, Niki (Mike) Walsh, Holly (Chris) Hunt, Thomas, Kyra, and Eden.
Loving great-grandpa to Sean, Liam and Alexis. Cyril will be greatly missed
by his brothers and sisters. He was born in Cape Breton in 1933 and
maintained strong ties to his many relatives there since moving to Toronto
many years ago. He will also be fondly missed by his many friends and
neighbours. A Memorial Service to honour his life will be held at Brampton
Memorial Chapel and Reception Centre, 10061 Chinguacousy Road, Brampton, on
Friday, September 11, 2009 at 11 o'clock with a reception to follow. In lieu
of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be graciously
