JACQUELINE A. BALL - 63 - North Sydney - Jacqueline Anne Ball, 63,
a
resident of Seaview Drive, North Sydney, passed away Saturday,
September
11, 2004 at the Northside General Hospital, after a courageous
battle with
cancer. Born in Florence, she was the daughter of the late George
and
Catherine (Tobin) Mansfield. She was employed as a CNA with the former
St.
Rita Hospital, Sydney and also Harbourview Hospital, Sydney Mines. She
was
an adherent of St. Columba United Church, Leitches Creek. Jacqueline
was
an avid gardener and enjoyed her flower gardens very much. She is
survived
by her husband Albert Ball, two sons, David (Christina) of PEI,
Brady
(Dawn) Mansfield of BC, two daughters Kathy (Glen) Heighton of
Pictou,
Nicole Ball (Stephen MacDonald) of Truro. Also surviving are
six
grandchildren, Lucas, Norh, Reagan, Reese, Leah, and Adam, brothers
Lester
(Delphine) Mansfield, of Halifax, Nicholas (Sylvia) Mansfield of
Sydney
Mines, five sisters Lynn (Brian) Dunn of BC, Pamela (Herbert) Pye,
Paulette
Cassidy both of Florence, Kay (Kenneth) Lewis of Coxheath, Holly
Ann
Mansfield of Sydney River. There will be no visitation by
request.
Funeral service will be held 11 am Tuesday at St. Columba United
Church,
Leitches Cret with Rev. David Hann officiating. Burial to take place
at
Lakeside Cemetery, North Sydney. A reception will follow in the
Jackie
MacDonald Hall, Leitches Creek. Memorial donations may be made to
the
Canadian Cancer Society, Hospice Palliative Care of Cape Breton or
a
charity of choice. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to W.J.
Dooley
