OBITUARY:
Henry White, 72, Bras d'Or, Cape Breton, retired coal miner, will be buried
in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Bras d'Or, today, following funeral service in the
parish church at 8:30 a.m.
Born in Joggins, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Albert White.
Surviving are his wife, five daughters, Mary (Mrs. Avery Blinkhorn[sic]),
Kentville; Harriet (Mrs. Al Sanders), Unionville, Ont.; Catherine (Mrs. Mrs.
Gilbert Luker), Bras d'Or; Thelma (Mrs. Clarence Harrietha), Winnipeg;
Frances (Mrs. Roy Berton[sic]), Camp Petawawa, Ont.; four sons, Gordon,
Atikokan, Ont.; Henry, James Jr., Bras d'Or; John, Camp Gagetown, N.B.; a
step-daughter, Mrs. Catherine Mansfield, Florence; a step-son, William
Tobin, Bras d'Or; three sisters, Mrs. Neil Shaw, Port Hope, Ont.; Mrs. Peter
Carmella, Montreal; Mrs. Hubert Devoe, Alder Point; three brothers, Stanley,
Lloyd and John, all of Florence; 28 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
