OBITUARY:
Craft, Frederick Rendell - 86, Fort Lawrence, Cumberland Co., died June 26,
1998, in Sackville Memorial Hospital, Sackville, N.B. Born in Saint John,
N.B., he was a son of the late Frederick and Christine (Rendell) Craft. He
served overseas during the Second World War with the North Nova Scotia
Highlanders. He was advertising manager with the Amherst Daily News for 25
years retiring in 1972 to open his own business, Gallery C, which he
operated until 1988. He was a member of St. Charles Roman Catholic Church,
Minister of Eucharist, and over the tears had served on parish council and
many committees. He was an avid golfer and member of the Amherst Golf Club.
Surviving are his wife, the former Enid Fullerton; sister, Geneva Hall, St.
Stephen, N.B.; brother, Gordon, Halifax; six nieces and nephews. Visitation
2-4, 7-9 p.m. Sunday, prayers 8 p.m. Sunday, both in Furlong's Funeral Home,
Amherst. Funeral 10 a.m. Monday in St. Charles Roman Catholic Church, Rev.
John L. Hayes officiating. Burial in Fort Lawrence Cemetery. Reception to
follow in the church hall. No flowers by request. Donations to St. Charles
Nativity Cemetery or Canadian Cancer Society.
