McKim, Freda Eileen - 91, Wallace Bay, passed away Thursday, May 27, 2010 in
the East Cumberland Lodge, Pugwash. Born Dec. 20, 1918, she was a daughter
of the late William and Ethel (Smith) Mitchell. Freda had taken an active
role in her community, she had been as a 4H Leader, was a member of the
United Church in Wallace Bay and later Wesley-St. Matthews United Church,
Pugwash, the Wallace Bay Women¹s Institute, the Seniors 50 Plus Club and was
a life member of the UCW. Surviving are her daughters, Janet (Alex)
Jamieson, Wallace, Marilyn Euesden (Richard Ferguson), Port Elgin, Ont.,
Jean (Ken) Tibbetts, Malagash, Karen (Tim) Iler, West Pugwash; 10
grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren. Besides
her parents she was predeceased by her husband, William N. McKim; sister,
Kathleen Mitchell. Visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m. Monday, May 31,
2010, in Mundle¹s Funeral Home, 204 Water St., Pugwash (243-2506), from
where the funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 1. Rev.
Meggin King officiating. Burial in the Wallace Bay Cemetery with a reception
to follow in the Wesley-St. Matthew United Church Hall. Donations in memory
may be made to East Cumberland Lodge, the Wallace Bay Cemeteries, the
Pugwash Library Building Fund or any charity. Private condolences may be
