Title: Re: [nscumber] Carrie Olivia (Morris) Yorke of Advocate
Hi Bruce:
I saw the surname Barrensfield on the registered birth but they were my thoughts only.
My mother was from the next community to Barronsfield, Minudie so when someone from the River Hebert area has a surname like Barrensfield and there’s a nearby community called Barronsfield, a red flag just popped up.
Barronsfield was named after Capt. Edward Barron par a Google search.

If one looks at the birth of Annie L Smith d/o William and Sarah, you see the mothers name as Sarah Barrensfield . That’s how I read it.

I have "Don" as Clair Bransfield Yorke from his delayed registered birth.
His maternal grandmother was Sarah Ann Barronsfield; name sound familiar?
Since his maternal grandparents m/1 1861 in River Hebert, I'm now wondering
if Barronsfield is a Place not a Surname as there's no Barronsfield's on the
1871 Cumberland Census. Perhaps William Smith m/1 Sarah Ann (?) from
Barronsfield?
My thoughts only.
