Lawrence William "Butch" Edwards
1956-2015

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Lawrence
William "Butch" Edwards, age 58, of Joggins Nova Scotia, formerly of
Calgary.

Butch passed away at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Center on Monday
February 9, 2015. surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Joggins, Nova Scotia, March 26, 1956, he was the son of the late
Margret (Scopie) Edwards, of Joggins and Garnet Edwards, of River Hebert.

Butch was a kind gentle man, he worked for 35 years with the City of Calgary
and retired in 2013 to move back home with his family. Butch loved music
and enjoyed playing guitar with friends and family, he loved horses and
motorcycles and driving heavy equipment.

He will be sadly missed by his family including his Daughter Danielle White
of Amherst and his grandson Drake of Amherst. He is survived by his father
Garnet Edwards of River Hebert, his Brother Peter (Dawn) Edwards of Joggins,
his sister Debbie (Bruce) Hebert of River Hebert, and youngest brother
Michael (Susan) Edwards of Joggins, nieces Tanya (Shaun) McCallum of
Joggins, Sabrina (Craig) Legere of Amherst, Stacey of Joggins, Amanda (Mike)
McLellan of Joggins, and nephew Jeremy (Beth) Edwards of Amherst, and Aunts
and Uncles and many great nieces and nephews

He was predeceased by his Mother Margaret (Scopie) Edwards (step-father Vern
Hoeg), a sibling Ricky Edwards, and nephews Jason Edwards and Scott Edwards,
and his paternal and maternal grandparents.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Furlong-Jones Funeral Home Amherst, Nova
Scotia. Cremation has taken place and in keeping with Butch's wishes there
will be no visitation or Funeral Service. A private ceremony to take place
at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Palliative Care unit in
Amherst or the Cancer Society. Condolences may be sent to the family by

The family would like to thank the staff and Physicians of the CRHCC with
special thanks to the nurses on the 2nd floor.
