"Albert Pleshaw, born Sept 9th, 1888 in Pork Greville, Cumberland County, Nova Scotia, Canada, the eldest son of David Albert Pleshaw, son of William Pleshaw and Susan (Parsons) Pleshaw and Alberta Edith (Walton) Pleshaw.  Family lived in Port Greville till about some time in 1892 and then father took position as millwright and carpenter for the E.I. White Lumber Co. in Sand River, Cumb. Co, N.S. and moved family there.

Lived there until father was forced to give up work on account of a cancer of the face and returned to Port Greville in Nov 1899 where father died on Aug 13, 1900.

Family then moved to Quaco, later renamed St. Martin's, Saint John County, N.B., where was broken albert going to live with his maternal Grandmother, Mrs. Marsilla Walton and his Uncle Jabesh Walton and remained there till Sept  1908 when he married Mildred Ethel Wright  and established his own home.  In Sept 1911 imigrated to Lawrence, MA moving to Florence, Mass in Jan 1913 and lived there till July 1916 where he was employed by the Florence Mfg. Co.,

In July the family moved to Methuen, Mass where he took a job in the Power Production Dept and remained there till Nov 14th, when he took a position as an Inspector wiht the Hartford Steam Boiler Inspection and Insurance Co, going to work in their Boston Dept. where he worked till April 17th 1929 when he was transferred to Providence.

Was taken with an attack of Angina Pectoris on August 21st 1934 but partly recovered and carried on field inspecton work until Selpt 1938 when he was transferred to the Scaife Co., in Oakmont, PA to do shop inspecton tanks during construction.  Remained there till he was forced to give up work on account of ill health on April 13th 1943 and on June 9th 1943 moved to Methuen, MA.

ALBERT STANLEY PLESHAW was born on Sept 9, 1888 in Port Greville, Nova Scotia, Canada.  In St. Martins, New Brunswick, on September 12, 1908 he married MILDRED ETHEL WRIGHT who was born in Long Beach, New Brunswick, on February 20, 1891.  Albert Stanely Pleshaw died in Methuen, Massachusetts, on January 19, 1946.


DARYL VICTOR born June 19, 1909, in St. Martins, New Brunswick.  He married IDA FRANCES LOVETT on July 21, 1930, in Providence, Rhode Island.  Their daughter, JOYCE MILDRED was born on March 18, 1932 in Methuen, Massachusetts.

THELMA SHIRLEY was born January 9, 1918 in Methuen.  She married LOUIS ALBERT BURKE in Washington, Rhode Island.  Their Daughter NINA MILDRED, was born in Providence on Aug 19, 1939.

An infant girl was born in Methuen on July 31, 1923

EVELYN MILDRED was born in Methuen on August 3, 1925

GLENN ALDEN ws born in Methuen, on Aug 12, 1927

An infant boy was born in Providence on August 15, 1933.

JOSEPHINE ROMANAUSKA was born in Lawrence, Mass. on July 22, 1916.   When she was eight months old she was taken from the Larence City Mission to board by the Pleshaw family.  When she was 21 years old, she legally changed her name to Pleshaw, and also adopted the middle name of Mildred.  In Cambridge, Massachusetts, on June 9, 1939, she was married to EDWARD CARTER BUGLEY born August 29, 1941 in Tidnish, Nova Scotia, on July 31, 1906.  They have two sons --- WAYNE EDWARD born august 29, 1941 in Waltham, Mass. and DOUGLASS STANELY born July 29, 1943 in Framighan, Mass.

NEWBURYPORT - Eleanor M. Pleshaw, a resident of Newburyport, formerly of Methuen, has died, following a long illness. She was 83 years old. She was born in 1929 in Baltimore, MD, to the late Douglas and Madeleine (Hartley) Allen. She moved as a child to Chelmsford, MA and was raised by her uncle and aunt, the late Leroy and Catherine (Hartley) Dutton. She graduated from Chelmsford High School. She went on to graduate from Lawrence (MA) General Hospital School of Nursing in 1952. Later in life she received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Services from Lesley College (now Lesley University). She was also a certified EMT. She worked for 30 years at Lawrence General Hospital. She switched to occupational nursing, worked for Brockway-Smith Company and retired from Gillette Company in Andover. She was widow of the late Glenn A. Pleshaw, and sister of the late Phyllis Allen of Baltimore MD. She is survived by her son, Hartley A. Pleshaw of Townsend and her daughter, Millicent Vella of Salisbury. She also leaves a sister and brother-in-law, Kathryn and James Stone, of West Virginia, and a nephew, Kurt A. Ruzicka, of Austin, TX. She also leaves 3 grandcats, Tigger, Clancy and Mink. It being her wishes a private graveside service will take place at Pine Ridge Cemetery in Chelmsford. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Merrimack River Feline Rescue Society, 63 Elm Street, Salsibury, MA 01952 would be appreciated.
