Robert R. Chapman
1930-2015

Robert R. Chapman, 84 years of age, of Springhill, formerly of Amherst,
passed away on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at the High Crest Nursing Home.
Born in Amherst he was a son of the late Arthur & Marjorie (Minor) Chapman.

Robert worked at Robb Engineering for 25 years, then D'Orsay's Garage in
Amherst then Gordon's Greenhouse until his retirement. He was an avid fan
of the Boston Bruins and the Toronto Blue Jays.

Robert will be sadly missed by his daughters, Nancy Chapman of Amherst,
Kathy Chapman (Mark Hamilton) of Greenwood, NS, Mary Allen (Gary) of
Sackville NB; sons, Michael (Lorraine) of Fort Saskatchewan, AB, William
(Merry Anne) of Northport, NS, Robin Chapman of Fort McMuuray, AB, Stephen
(Donna) of Amherst, NS, Peter (Diane) of Truro, NS; sister, Shirley
Benjamin of Halifax NS, ; grandchildren, Mark, Jason, Julie, Emily, Blaine,
Amy, Joshua, Cody, great grandchildren, Olivia, Samual, Henry & Emerson.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Gloria, sisters
Geraldine Chapman, Joan Laughton, brother Jack & brother in law, Ron
Benjamin.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Furlong-Jones Funeral Home,
70 Church St., Amherst, NS. A celebration of life will be held on February
4, 2015 at Furlong- Jones Funeral Home from 2- 5 P.M. Burial will take
place in the Lorneville United Church Cemetery in the spring.

Donations in Robert's memory may be made to the V.O.N. or the L.A. Animal
Shelter.
