Worcester Rodney R. Anderson, 76, of Worcester, died on Monday, October
14th in his home after an illness.
Mr. Anderson is survived by his wife of 54 years, Carol A. (Mechetti)
Anderson; a son, Michael Anderson and his significant other, Debra Joyce of
Worcester; a daughter, Cynthia Jacevicius and her husband David of Fargo,
ND; 10 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren and many nephews and nieces.
Rodney was born in Harborville, Nova Scotia, Canada, son of the late Melvin
and Lottie (Swindell) Anderson and is also predeceased by a daughter Cheryl
Gauvin who died in February and two brothers, Melvin and Raymond Anderson as
well as two sisters, Madeline Ogilivie and Doris Lord.
Mr. Anderson was a truck driver for the George Lamoureux & Co. for many
years until his retirement. He was a member of Teamsters Local 170 and
enjoyed fishing and camping during the summers in Old Orchard beach.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday, October 22nd from the Alfred Roy & Sons
Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. with a Mass at 10:30 AM in St. Peter¹s Church
931 Main St. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
Calling hours are on Monday, October 21st from 5 to 8 PM in the funeral
home.

OBITUARY: Melvin Henry Anderson
Harborville, September 15 - Funeral service for Melvin Henry Anderson, who
died at his home here were held in the United Church, September 10,
conducted by Rev. M. Wainwright, assisted by Rev. Gordon Pringle. Members of
the Ortona Branch of the Canadian Legion and Berwick Lodge, IOOF attended
and conducted their services at the graveside in Burlington. Pallbearers
were members of the Oddfellows. Mr. Anderson was born in Parrsboro, December
6, 1899, son of the late Robert and Susan Quinn Anderson. In 1924, he moved
to Lawrence, Mass., where he married Lottie Swindell of Burlington, N.S. He
moved to Harborville in 1932 where he has since made his home. Besides his
widow, he is survived by three sons, Melvin, in the United States Army in
South Korea; Raymond, West Haven, Conn.; Rodney, at home; two daughters,
Mrs. Lamert Ogilvie, Harborville; and Doris, at home; five brothers, Edward,
Black Rock; Willis, James and Albert, Parrsboro; Russell, Harvard, Mass.;
and Ruggles, Goose Bay, Labrador; two sisters, Mrs. Thomas Wilman, Lawrence,
Mass.; and Mrs. Percy Finney, Toronto.

Leicester Cheryl A. (Anderson) Gauvin, 52, of Leicester, died on Saturday,
February 9th in her home surrounded by her family.
Cheryl is survived by her two sons, Roger Gauvin Jr. and Marc Gauvin both of
Worcester; two daughters, Melissa Kniskern of Leicester and Danielle Gauvin
of Worcester; her long time companion, Mark "Olie" Olson of Leicester; her
father Rodney Anderson and her mother, Carol (Mechetti) Anderson both of
Worcester; a brother, Michael Anderson of Worcester; a sister, Cynthia
Jacevicius of Fargo, ND; 4 grandchildren, RJ and Mason Kniskern and Olyvia
and Max Figueroa; 3 step children, Crystal Olson of Oxford, Bryan Olson of
Worcester and Shannon Olson of Oak Harbor, WA. Cheryl also leaves behind
many nieces and nephews.
She was born in Worcester and graduated from Doherty Memorial High School.
Cheryl was a member of the Auburn Sportsman Club and enjoyed traveling and
taking trips to the beach. She had a fun loving personality and was most
happy when she as spending time with family, especially her grandchildren.
The family would like to publicly thank Vista Care Hospice, especially
Genevieve for the exceptional care and support that was given to Cheryl
during her time on hospice.
The funeral will be held on Friday, February 15th from the Alfred Roy & Sons
Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. with a Mass at 11 AM in Saint Peter's Church 931
Main St. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the calling
hours on Thursday, February 14th from 5 to 8 PM in the funeral home.
