GOSHEN -- Herbert L. Clipp, 90, of 1225 Greencroft Drive, died at 11 a.m.
Thursday (June 15, 2006) in Greencroft Healthcare in Goshen.

He was born June 12, 1916, in Elkhart County, to Melvin C. and Alice G.
(Longacre) Clipp. He married Claudia L. Robinson on May 6, 1944, in Fort
Worth, Texas. She died Oct. 31, 1993, in Elkhart.

He is survived by two sons, David Christopher of Santa Rosa, Calif., and
Bruce (Jennifer) Clipp of Grand Rapids, Mich.; two daughters, Rebecca
(Raymond) Belcher of Goshen and Cynthia (Dean) Healey of Wexford, Pa.; 10
grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Alice Lundy; and three brothers,
Ervin, Howard and John Clipp.

Friends may call from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday and for one hour prior to the 2
p.m. Monday service at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home, 700 E. Jackson
Blvd., Elkhart. Pastor Ed Fritz of First United Methodist Church, Goshen,
will officiate. Burial will be in Rice Cemetery, where Elkhart DAV Chapter
19 will render military graveside services.

Mr. Clipp was a longtime member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in
Elkhart and was attending First United Methodist Church in Goshen. He was a
member of Kane Masonic Lodge 183 F and AM. He was a U.S. Army veteran
serving in World War II.

He enjoyed gardening and traveling with his family.
