OBITUARY

The late Mrs. Colby Ayer

Mrs. Sarah Ayer, wife of Colby Ayer, died suddenly at her home at Port Grenville on Saturday afternoon Aug. 4th., from Apoplexy.

The deceased was apparently in her usual health and had dressed preparatory to making some calls on friends, when stricken.

The deceased for a number of years was a resident of Parrsboro where she made many friends, who learned with regret of her sudden demise.

The deceased was a devoted member of the Baptist Church and faithful in assisting in any good work. She leaves to mourn their loss her husband, two sons, Lloyd and Roy and two daughters, Mrs. Albert Berry and Flossie of the Royal Bank staff, Halifax.

Mrs. C. Yorke, mother of the deceased and three brothers, Albert and Izlie of Wharton and Edson of Parrsboro and two sisters, Mrs. Charlie Smith of Parrsboro and Luella residing in St. John also survive.

The funeral took place on Monday Morning the 8th inst., Service was conducted by the Rev. Gordon Vincent.

The pall bearers were Messrs. Wm. Parsons, Charles Parsons, Warren Ayer and John Slayter.
