OBITUARY: Lillian E. Henwood
Amherst - Lillian Emma Henwood, 61, of 33 Hill Street, Amherst, died
Wednesday in Colchester Hospital, Truro, following an automobile accident in
which her sister-in-law, Lynn (Mrs. Roy Lowther), also lost her life.
Born in Midgic, N.B., she was a daughter of the late Harold and Faith
(Fillmore) Estabrooks.
She was a member of Amherst First Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband, Joseph; three daughters, Joyce (Mrs. Roger
Legrande), Mary (Mrs. Joe Markus) and Brenda, all of Ottawa; three sons,
Floyd, Dartmouth; twin sons, Fred, Huntsville, Ont., and Rod, Amherst; four
brothers, Knapp and Borden, both of Sackville, N.B.; Emmerson and Parker,
both of Moncton; 15 grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a brother, Floyd.
The body is in Furlong's Funeral Home, Amherst. Funeral will be Saturday at
11 a.m. in First Baptist Church, Rev. Gordon Delaney officiating, with
committal in Amherst Cemetery receiving chapel and burial in Amherst
Cemetery in the spring.
