The son who just died is Lester Lamont Atkinson per his baptism record.

OBITUARY
Kingsport - Earl L. Atkinson, 76 of Kingsport died Wednesday in Victoria General Hospital.
Born in Apple River, Cumberland County, he was a son of the late Lester and Effie (Davis) Atkinson.  He was a member of St. Thomas Anglican Church, Kingsport. He was a carpenter and millwright by trade. Surviving besides his wife, the former Cora Barkhouse, are three sons, Lester, Pointe-Claire, Que.; Gerald, Bridgewater, and Blaine, Newcastle, N.B.; a daughter, Doris (Mrs. Laurie Lyons), Wolfville; two brothers, Harold, Oshawa, Ont. and Arden, Bridgewater; a sister Amy Nuttall, Oshawa, Ont.; eleven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. The body will be in H. C. Lindsay Memorial Chapel, Kentville this evening. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday in St. Thomas Anglican Church, Kingsport, Rev. William Martell officiating, with interment in Habitant Cemetery. No flowers by request. Donations may be made to Kingsport - St. Thomas Anglican Church memorial fund.

Obituary:
Atkinson, Lester Age 87, of Halifax, passed away peacefully on Friday,
January 23, 2015, in QEII Health Sciences Centre, Halifax. Lester was born
in Medford and was the eldest son of the late Lester and Cora Atkinson. He
was predeceased by his wife, Joan (Hennigar); son, Douglas. He is survived
by his son, Richard (Joan) of Lindale, Alta.; brothers, Gerald (Hope) of
Middleton; Blaine (Dale) of Hubley; sister, Doris Lyons (Laurie) of Halifax;
several grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Lester was a graduate of
Acadia University and Nova Scotia Technical College with a degree in
Engineering. He spent his career with Canadian National Railway, a career
that took him to many parts of Canada, retiring in Montreal as a Vice
President. He and his wife, Joan, then built their home in Green Valley,
Ont. After Joan's passing, Lester moved to Halifax. He was an avid bridge
player, golfer, hunter and fisherman and enjoyed many trips to "the camp"
with family and friends. At his request, there will be no funeral service
and, as was his wish, his body has been donated to Dalhousie Medical
School.Les will be missed by special friends at Melville Heights where he
retired in 2013. If desired, donations in  memory of Les may be made to a
charity of one's choice.
