Roger
Todd Taggart
72, Of Ingramport passed away on Tuesday January 20th in the QEII Health
Sciences Center, Halifax. Born in St. Peter’s PEI, he was the son of late
Willard and Hilda (Snair) Taggart . Roger retired as a Firefighter with
Department of National Defense and was also an active member for many years with
the District 1 Black Point Fire Department, serving as Fire Chief for a number
of years. He is survived by his wife Judy (MacPhee); sons, Andrew, St. Albert,
Alberta; Ryan (Kendelle Byers), Ingramport; grandchildren, Benjamin, Olivia
Taggart and Leo, Alicia Wheatley. Beside his adopted parents he is predeceased
by his natural mother, Edith Anderson. In keeping with Roger’s wishes a
celebration of his life will be held 4 – 7 p.m. Saturday January 24th in the
Masonic Hall, 6384 St. Margaret’s Bay Road, Head of St. Margaret’s Bay. In lieu
of flowers donations can be made to the Nova Scotia Rehabilitation Centre, 1341
Summer Street, Halifax, Nova Scotia, B3H 4K4. The family would like to thank the
Doctor, Nurses and staff of 5.2 ICU, QEII Health Sciences Center for their

Minnie remarried to Arthur Brownie Oct.23, 1905 as a widow. I could not find a death record for Robert James Taggart. Since there youngest child Neta was born in January 1904, Robert J. probably died sometime between April 1903 and October 1905
Roger's adopted great grandparents were James Taggart and Sarah Elizabeth McAloney.
