Mapplebeck, Thomas Patrick 75, Centreville, Kings Co. passed away peacefully, Thursday, January 7, 2010, at home surrounded by loving family. Born in Kingsport, he was a son of the late Hugh Mapplebeck and Rita (Isner) Mapplebeck. He is survived by wife, Mabel; daughters, Brenda (Richard), Saskatoon; Sharon (Allen), Halifax; Kathy (Mike), Halifax; Kim, Berwick; and sons, Scott, Sacramento, Jim (Kathy), Cathcart, ON; Tony, Barrie, ON;14 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He is also survived by sisters, Audria (John) Clark, Mississauga; Shari (Peter) Guinta, Kitchener; and brothers, Norm (Dee) Mapplebeck, Burlington, and Lee (Sharon) Mapplebeck, Lethbridge; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by an infant sister. Tom served with the West Nova Scotia militia RCAF regular force and Winnipeg Grenadiers Militia. He was employed with I.B.M. Canada for 17 years. Tom retired from Parks CanadaGrande Pre National Historic Site. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion since 1970 Nutana Br # 362 Saskatoon, Sask. and Kings Br # 6 Kentville, N.S. Following his wishes, there will be no visitation or service. Donations in memory may be made to the Valley Regional Hospital Palliative Care, the Victorian Order of Nurses, or the Canadian Cancer Society.
