Would anyone have saved this obit and have it in their little bag of
"goodies"?
I believe Jean was born in Fox River, d/o William James Lake and Rena Grace
Chandler.
Thanks in advance for any assistance.

GARLAND, Nettie McLellan
GARLAND, Nettie McLellan - 89, Hantsport, passed away peacefully Wednesday,
October 4 , 2006, in Hants Community Hospital, Windsor, with her loving
family by her side. Born in West Gore, Hants Co., she spent all of her
married life in Windsor, later residing in Hantsport for the past 33 years.
Her heart really never left West Gore and she longed for another chance to
return there and drink from the sweet spring in the woods. She was "A
Country Girl" at heart. Nettie was a daughter of the late William and
Melvina (Prest) Bruce. A quiet, modest lady that had a great love for her
family and friends and also a love for animals and a special place for the
ones that came into her life. She was a lifetime member of the U.C.W. at St.
James United Church, Hantsport, and the Phelia Trinity United Church,
Windsor. She would often be seen volunteering at many church functions.
Nettie had a strong and determined faith. Surviving are daughters, "Rae"
(Donald) Miller, Hantsport; Janice Garland, Hantsport; Susan (Dale)
Leighton, Windsor; sons, Ronald (June) Garland, 3 Mile Plains; Bill ("Ali")
Garland, Bedford; sister, Mildred "Midge" (James) MacAskill, Kennetcook;
***daughter-in-law, Jean Garland, Beaverbank***; five sisters-in-law, 13
grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 3 great great-grandchildren;
several nieces and nephews, and her cat, "Bobby Boy". Besides her parents,
Nettie was predeceased by her husband, Clarence Alfred Garland; ***son, John
"Jack" Garland***; brothers, Lloyd, Doug, Philip "Ted", Graham, Donald,
Aubrey, and Gerald and Blair in infancy; sisters, Leona Pratt, Jean Bruce
and Nellie Ettinger. Nettie will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by
all who knew and loved her, and whose lives she touched. A memorial service
will be held Saturday, October 7, 2 p.m. in St. James United Church,
Hantsport. Rev. Glennis Smith will officiate, with burial in Maplewood
Cemetery, Windsor. A reception will follow the private family burial in St.
James United Church Hall. All are invited to join the family for a time of
