Mary Alice (Richards) Ripley Muggish; Willigar related to Pa_ rrsboro

Widow Beatrice Rae/Ray (Willigar) Roberts may have been a but late m/2
Thomas Ralph Richards per the 1921 Glace Bay Census?

She was enumerated as a widow in 1911 but didn't m/2 Mr. Richards until 1919
although she was with Mr. Richards by 1913 to have Albert in 1914 and Ralph
in 1916.

Could Frank Otto Roberts have not been deceased by 1911?

Obituaries

Mary (Richards) Muggah
(Died September 20, 2014)

Mary Alice (Richards) Ripley Muggah died peacefully at the An Cala Unit of
the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, comforted by her three children on
Saturday, Sept. 20, 2014, at age 94. She was born in Glace Bay, N.S., the
eldest daughter of Thomas Ralph and Beatrice (Willigar) Richards, and was
the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was a lifelong
adherent of the Anglican Faith, and until its closure, a member of St.
George¹s Church, and served on many of the church and community
organizations, which she enjoyed. She was tough, strong willed, and
independent until her recent hospitalization. She loved to bake, and prided
herself in baking up until her hospitalization. She is survived by her
children, Karen Keon, Pembroke, Ont., Sandra (Greg) Ross, Melanson, N.S.,
and Ralph Ripley of Sydney, N.S. She is also survived by her nine
grandchildren, whom she loved and was very proud of, Lysia, Ian, Karen,
David, John, Ceri, Colin, Lauren and Lindsey. She is also survived by 12
great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents,? as well as her
first husband, Duncan Ross Ripley (1969), and her second husband, William
Muggah (1988). Also siblings, Albert, Ralph, Evelyn Raye, Desmond, Lloyd and
Carole and her son-in-law Pat Keon. Mom enjoyed reading, puzzle books, and
playing cards and games , especially with her grandchildren. For years she
said she was determined to live to see her granddaughter, Lauren, graduate
from High School, and achieved that. The family would like to extend their
thanks to the many Homemakers whose care for Mom over the last five years
had allowed her to maintain her independence in her own home, as well as the
staff, the volunteers and benefactors of the An Cala Unit, which was so
appreciated in her final days. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to S.W.
Chant & Son Funeral Home, Alexandra Street, Sydney, with visitation at 7-9
p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2104, with funeral service to be conducted at the
funeral home at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2014. In lieu of flowers please
consider donations to a charity of your choice with a preference for the An
Cala Unit of the Cape Breton Regional Hospital. Please be scent free. Online
condolences may be sent to our web page at www.chantfuneralhome.com
