Marjorie Landry

1922-2015

It is with sadness that we must announce the peaceful passing of Marjorie
Landry, age 92, of Amherst.  Marjorie passed away peacefully at Gables Lodge
while surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, January 8, 2015.

Born in Twickenham, Middlesex, England, she was a daughter of the late
William and Edith (Hull) Swettenham.  She moved to Canada as a War Bride in
1946.

Marjorie enjoyed knitting, crocheting, crossword puzzles and was an avid
reader. She enjoyed spending time with her family and loved her
grandchildren.Marjorie will be sadly missed by her daughter, Ruth Durland
(Ken) of Hantsport, NS; sons, John (Jeanne), David (Dale) both of Fenwick,
NS; 11 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, daughter in law, Ann Landry of
Avonport, NS.

Besides her parents she was  predeceased by her husband, Edgar in 1977, an
infant daughter, Mary in 1952 and a granddaughter, Angela Landry in 2000 and
a son, William "Bill" Landry in 2013.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Furlong~Jones Funeral Home, 70 Church
St., Amherst, NS (902-667-8777)  Visiting hours will be held from
Furlong-Jones Funeral Home on Monday, January 12, 2015 from 12 p.m. - 2p.m.
with Funeral Service to follow at 2 p.m. at Holy Family Parish. Burial to
take place in the St. Charles - Nativity Cemetery in the spring.

Those wishing to make a donation in Marjorie's memory may do so to the
Canadian Cancer Society or the Alzheimer's Society.
