OBITUARIES
Floyd Ernest Cox
High Springs - Floyd Ernest Cox died Thursday at Advent Christian Village in
Dowling Park. He was 89.
Mr. Cox was born in Robbinston, Maine, and raised in Vermont. He also lived
in Massachusetts and Tarpon Springs before moving to Dowling Park four years
ago. He was a Baptist and an electronic engineer for Gamewell.
Survivors include daughters, Janice Herrick of High Springs and Wendy
Circone of Sarasota; sons, Michael Cox of the U.S. Navy and Richard Chapin
of New York; a brother, Ralph Cox of Maine; 13 grandchildren; and several
great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and
great-great-great-grandchildren.

Arthur R. Chapin

Arthur R. Chapin, 65, of 2473 Brock Road died Thursday, July 20, 2000.
A native of Framingham, Mass., Mr. Chapin was a son of the late George
and Viola Leary Chapin. He was a disabled U.S. Army veteran and attended
various Army technical schools.
Services will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday in Woodbine Cemetery with the Rev.
Jesse Mealor officiating.
Survivors include his wife, Doris Wetter Chapin; two daughters, Linda
Reyholt, Friendswood, Texas, and Debbie Whetham, Eagle River, Ala.; two
sons, Ron Chapin, Athens, and Thomas Chapin, Defiance, Miss.; two sisters,
Janice Herrick, High Springs, Fla., and Wendy Circoni, Sarasota, Fla.; a
brother, Richard Chapin, Gloversville, N.Y.; his stepfather, Floyd Cox,
Dowling Park, Fla.; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis
Foundation.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday at Jackson Funeral
Home, Jefferson.
