Floyd Ernest Cox
High Springs - Floyd Ernest Cox died Thursday at Advent Christian Village in Dowling Park. He was 89.

Mr. Cox was born in Robbinston, Maine, and raised in Vermont. He also lived in Massachusetts and Tarpon Springs before moving to Dowling Park four years ago. He was a Baptist and an electronic engineer for Gamewell.

Survivors include daughters, Janice Herrick of High Springs and Wendy Circone of Sarasota; sons, Michael Cox of the U.S. Navy and Richard Chapin of New York; a brother, Ralph Cox of Maine; 13 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and great-great-great-grandchildren.

RALPH COX OBITUARY
1913 - 2005
Sanbornville, New Hampshire:

Ralph E. Cox, age 92, formerly of Sanbornville, died late Saturday evening, October 15, 2005 at the Merriman House in North Conway.

Born October 12, 1913 in Newport, Vermont, he was a son of the late Ernest R. and Evie M. (Davis) Cox. He retired to Sanbornville where he resided for 14 years and had resided in Wolfeboro for 10 years prior to moving to the Merriman House in 1999, he previously resided in Acton, Mass. from 1962-1976 and in Natick, Mass. from 1939-1962.

He was a graduate of Derby Academy in Derby, Vermont.

Prior to retirement, he was employed as a Senior Scientist with Raytheon.

Ralph was a member of the Wakefield Congregational Church. His lifelong interest, his passion, was Model Railroading and Photography. He helped build the Klickety Klack Railroad in Wolfeboro.

The widower of the late Mary (Ellis) Cox, who died in 1983, he is survived by 3 children: Martha L. Cox of Tamworth, Richard E. Cox of Aledo, Texas and Charlotte L. Armstrong of El Paso, Illinois, 5 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren, also numerous Nieces and Nephews.

A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday October 19, 2005 at 1:00 pm at Lovell Lake Cemetery in Sanbornville, NH. There are no calling hours, family and friends are welcome to the service. If desired, memorial donations may be made in his memory to the charity of one’s choice. Arrangements are in the care of Peaslee Funeral Home, 2079 Wakefield Road in Sanbornville, NH.
