Springhill, August 22, in Spencer's Nursing Home, Moncton.
Died - Arnold Frederick KENT, 70, Oxford, August 19.
Died - Carmen Blaine LANGILLE, 55, of West Pugwash, August 20, in
the Halifax Infirmary.
Died - Edward Horace WORTMAN, 81, Oxford, August 21, in Cumberland
Regional Health Care Centre, Amherst.

Town officials turned down a proposal by Shane PORTER, owner of
the Red Flame in Springhill, Tony HUBERT and Frank COLE to
establish a licensed dining room/lounge in the former Co-op
building on Main Street.

Wednesday, August 22, 1984.
Citizens of Wallace celbrated the 200th birthday of their
community last Saturday in the best tradition, with games,
dancing, fireworks, food and of course, birthday cake.
The province has reached an agreement with Canadian Salt Company
in Pugwash to upgrade a highway rout from the company mine to the
Trans Canada Highway to help the company remain competitive. The
14-mile upgrading project will cost $2.7 million and will allow
truckers to carry 35-tonne loads from the mine to Highway 104.
The previous limit was 25-tonne loads.
Died - Robie George PALMER, 74, of Truro, a native of Wentworth,
on August 13.

Oxford.

Among those who enlisted in active service from the vicinity
recently were Ira Wesley BLACK of Roslin; Harold W. CHAMBERS of
Malagash; H.D. MACINTOSH, Oxford; Ernest B. MONTROSE, Pugwash Jct.
and Victor L. RUSHTON, Oxford.
Lieut. Roland LANGILLE of Tatamagouche, missing in action in Italy
for three months, is a prisoner of war in Germany.

Born in Port Howe on June 9, 1926. Predeceased by parents Maude
and John MacKay; brothers Horace and Calvin; husband Stewart; sons
Laird and Wayne. Survived by daughter-in-law Adele, Calgary, many
grandchildren and great-grandchildren, sisters, brother and their
familes in British Columbia, Ontario, New Brunswick and Nova

Predeceased by her parents, Sarah and Vaughan Henderson; spouse,

DORN, Margarete, 84, Birchwood, Cumberland County, passed away
Monday, August 25, 2014. Born in Horshway, Germany, daughter of
the late Mr. and Mrs. Julius Heinzelmann. Last surviving member
of her immediate family. Survived by sons, George (Denise),
Wallace; John (Sandra) and Gus (Patty), both of Birchwood.
Predeceased by her husband, August, and sisters, Pia and Eugenie.

in Oxford, daughter of the late Ray and Winnie (Simpson) Cloney.

Adams and Grace McFetridge and brother-in-law Owen Adams.
Predeceased by her partner Walter Gower and brother Charles
