I have Marietta Ann Catherine as a full fledged Dorman.

Carrie Elva (Tippett) Dorman had one surviving younger sister, Jean Lola Tippett whom I believe stayed with her father.

Jean Lola Tippett m/1 Hance John Duffy from Parrsboro on 7 Mar 1922 at St. Brigid’s, Parrsboro so I suspect if she was adopted or fostered, she didn’t move far from home as her older sister.

The Tippetts appear to be good friends of the Merriams/Miltons per the 1911 Census. Harriet Elizabeth “Hattie” Milton has already m/1 Mr. Dorman; adopted Carrie and moved to B.C. By 1911.

I’m guessing she was originally Jessie Rogers Alcorn, born Hantsport, N.S., and adopted by Capt. John W. Milton and Content Lavinia Merriam.
