I meant Gordon ended up in Hamilton, Ont. same as his NEPHEW George Robinson, s/o Robert Boles Robinson and Gladys Marguerite Allen.
Also Robert and Gladys daughters Margaret and Laura Mae Robinson both married Bennett's. Would you happen to know who this Delbert Bennett and the other Bennett might be?

Hi Steve:
Gordon could possibly be by someone else but it’s strange there’s no registered birth for him in the 1912 range, unless he was younger on the census and actually born 1914 which will be out this coming summer.
Maybe Fisher and Laura patched their differences in 1919 for one day to see their only daughter, Gladys married?
Needs a bit more research for sure.

In Gladys Marguerite (Allen) Robinson's obit, there is no mention of a brother Gordon. Strange, you would think that they would remember their mothers only sibling. Could Gordon be a half brother? father unknown. Gordon ends up in Hamilton with his Uncle George.
Gladys' marriage certificate was witnessed by parents Fisher and Laura Allen in 1919, so they could have separated between then and 1921.

Hi Steve:
I couldn’t find them either on the 1891 Cumberland Census.
There have been a few known cases of families missing on the Don Lewis transcriptions that have been on the original census scans. Maybe this is one of them?

Laura May Bennett was born 1881 at Eatonville. Alice Bennett m/1 Anard “Aner” Spicer on 2 Apr 1882, Methodist, Eatonville. Where the two dates are so close, I’m assuming Anard “Aner” Spicer is her birth father and m/1 her birth mother, Alice Maude Bennett shortly after Laura was born.
Is Gordon Allen Fisher Allen’s son; I don’t know at this point. I can’t locate a registered birth for him from 1911-1913. Maybe that’s the reason Fisher and Alice separated?

PARRSBORO -- Oct. 24 [1924]
With the side of his head blown completely off by a charge of heavy buckshot, Fisher Allen, a 50 year old resident of Allen Hill, three miles from Spencer's Island, was found lying dead on the floor of his cabin by his brother-in-law early on Thursday evening. The unfortunate man is believed to have taken his own life. After having spent two days moose hunting in the woods, Allen was seen to return to his home, where he resided alone, on Thursday afternoon. Following his return, however, he made no effort to communicate with relatives who live in the vicinity and when evening came and no light appeared in his cabin, his brother-in-law was concerned, and decided to investigate. He found the man, who apparently had been dead for some time, lying on the floor in a pool of blood, the empty shotgun by his side. It is understood that no one in the vicinity heard the shot fired. Allen, according to statements made by his friends, was of an
unusually quiet and moody disposition. He was a married man but had been living apart from his wife for several years.
The body was taken to Spencer' Island where internment will be made.
