BAMFORD, William A. -  William "Bill" Bamford, 77, of Orton, Ontario, passed away peacefully on April 11, 2014.  Bill is the son of the late Harold and Grace (Drew) Bamford. Sergeant Bill Bamford was a retired member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and a former member of the Canadian Armed Forces. An avid outdoorsman, Bill enjoyed teaching his children and grandchildren his "master campcrafter" skills. Born in Apple River, NS, Bill was always drawn to his Maritime roots. Sadly missed by his wife Patricia and loved by sister Nancy Adamczyk (Rick) of Elgin, NB, brother Doug (Geneva) of Moncton, NB, Ron (deceased) (Inez) of Amherst, NS, son Doug (Marianne), son Martin (Angela), daughter Judy (Gary), daughter Cindy (John), daughter Cathy (Brad), son David (Brandy), son Alan (Terry) and many grandchildren. A memorial celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2014, at the Erin, Ontario Legion, all family and friends welcome anytime between 1 and 4 p.m. Interment, Orton, Ontario, with immediate family, at a later date. In Bill's memory, donations to the Canadian Lung Association.

Ronald "Ron" J.N. Bamford, 75, of Amherst, NS and formerly of Advocate, NS and Riverview, NB, passed away peacefully at The Cumberland Health Authority, Upper Nappan, NS on Thursday, December 26, 2013. Born in Apple River, NS, he was the son of the late Harold and Grace (Drew) Bamford. Ron was retired from the Canadian Armed Forces with 14 ½ years service and Transport Canada with 14 years service. He was a Veteran of the United Nations Forces, served in the Middle East and Belgium Congo with the 1st Airborne Signal Squadron (Kingston, ON) and the 3rd Airborne Signal Squadron (Gagetown) and was a member of the Canadian Airborne Forces Association, J.J. MacGillis Branch, Kingston, ON. He enjoyed woodworking, boating, fishing, his dogs and spending time with his family.  Ron will be sadly missed by his wife of 53 years, Inez (McNally); daughter, Bridgitte Mannette (Barry) of Riverview; son, Mark (Elizabeth) of Dartmouth, NS; grandchildren, Matthew and Jordan Bamford, Samantha and Jamie Mannette and Tracey, Sean and Evan Burdock; sister, Nancy Adamczyk (Rick) of Elgin; brothers, Doug (Geneva) of Moncton and Bill (Pat) of Orton, ON; several nieces and nephews.  In keeping with Ron's wishes, there will be no visitation hours or funeral service. Interment in Advocate Harbour Cemetery, Advocate, NS at a later date.  Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) in care of arrangements.
