OBITUARY
George L. Cooke
TRURO, Feb. 11, - The death occurred in Colchester Hospital last nigh after a lengthy illness of George L. Cooke, 60, well known Brookfield resident.
A native of Joggins, Cumberland County, he spent most of his life working in lumber mills but discontinued this work three years ago following an accident to his arm. He then accepted the post of caretaker at the Brookfield Rural High School.
Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Beatrice Roberts, Moose River, N.S.; his widow at Brookfield and five sons and one daughter. They are Gerald, Hilden; Carl, Ontario; Keith, Parrsboro; Donald, Brookfield and Royden with the RCAF at North Bay, Ont. The daughter is Mrs. Lloyd Salsman (Jean) of Halifax.
The funeral will be held Sunday, February 13, at 2 p.m. from Mattatall's Funeral Home, Rev. John Henderson, Brookfield officiating.
