Hi Tina, I supect that the Lonce MacAloney, quoted in the following two obits is perhaps the d/o Jack Rector and Maggie Donaldson.She is not mentioned in Jack's obit of 1971. Margaret Donaldson removed to British Columbia and married there in 1906, to one Robert Somerville. She died in 1969 in White Rock, B.C. She was born in Scotland d/o Robert Donaldson and Rachel Inglis. Her husband Robert Somerville died in 1963 in B.C.
It is with great sadness the family of the late Eva Grace Poplar age 86, of Amherst and formerly of River Hebert announce her passing on Wednesday, April 21, 2010 in Cumberland Hall, Amherst.
Born in Joggins, NS she was a daughter of the late John and Jessie (Ripley) Rector.
In her younger years Eva worked for G.B. Murphy's Pant Factory in Amherst and then retired from Northern Telecom, Amherst after 10 years service.
Eva is survived by three daughters Beverley Rosenberg (Chuck) of Joggins, Lorna (Garnet) Melanson and Nancy (Hermie) McKeigan both of River Hebert, six sons John (Edie) of Eastern Passage, Keith (Eleanor), Maxie, Michael (Arlene) of River Hebert, Marty of Calgary and Randy (Pam) of River Hebert, many grandchilldren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband John, sons Danny and Terry and sisters Lonce McAloney, Jessie Landry and Marcella Herwell and one brother John.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 25, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in Campbell's Funeral Home, Amherst (667-9906).
Funeral service will be held on Monday at 2 p.m. from Campbell's Chapel with Rev. Christine MacLeod officiating.
Interment will take place at a later date in the Hillside Cemetery, River Hebert.
Memorial donations in Eva's memory may be made to the charity of your choice.

Jessie Mae Landry age 80, passed away Sunday, January 23, 2005 at Cumberland Regional Health Care Center, Upper Nappan, N.S. Born in Minto, N.B. she was a daughter of the late Jack and Jessie (Ripley) Rector.Jessie and her late husband Hermie owned and operated several businesses in Amherst, Kentville and Truro such as Highland Grocery on Park St. Amherst, Tanny's Taxi and Border Motel in Amherst, Sun Valley Motel in Kentville and Willow Bend Motel in Truro, they retired from the Victorian Motel in Amherst in 1974. She is survived by her daughter Marilyn (Allan) Hartry of Ottawa, Ontario and her son Hermie (Pat) Landry of Amherst, one sister Eva Poplar of River Hebert, several grandchildren, one grandchild and several nieces and nephews.Jessie was predeceased by her husband Hermie, daughter Joan Cameron, brother John and sisters Lonce MacAloney and Marcella Herwell. Cremation has taken place. Her family will receive visitors at Campbell's Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 27, 2005 at 2 p.m. from Campbell's Chapel with Rev. Danny Compton officiating. Interment will take place in the spring in the Maccan Cemetery. Donations in Jessie's memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, VON or the charity of your choice.
