In 1901 census there is a baby (grandson) born Mar 10,1901 living with Emma Shipley and 3 of her
children. In 1911 Roy,age 18,grandson is living with Emma but the birthdate shown is May 1891.
( the age and date of birth were transcribed incorrectly)
(the actual census record shows age 10 born Mar 1901)
In 1921 Roy,age 20, is shown living in Black Rock,next door to William, Ada's brother and his family
as well as James Shipley, father, age 71.
(James not shown with her in 1901) (?? Emma in 1911 listed as a widow??)
Perhaps separation and or divorce
In 1930, Quincy Mass, Roy E age 29 listed as a cousin is living with William and his wife Barbara, the son
of Ada's brother, William.
In 1940, Quincy Mass, Roy E age 39 is living with his wife, Laura age 40 and son Donald age 5
From Donald's obit below appears Roy also had a daughter Alice (Shipley) Colby.
I believe Roy died July 20,1978 in Hingham Ma
Donald died May 10,2011 (obit below)

I didn't have Walter Max Alymer? Schnider in my file.
Before marrying Frederick Anthony Schnider, Ada had an illegitimate
daughter, born 5 Apr 1903 at Parrsboro, Elsie Muriel Shipley who was adopted
by her Aunt, Eva Priscilla (Shipley) Mills.
Ada also had an illegitimate son, Roy Elwyn Shipley, born 22 Mar 1901 at
Parrsboro but I don't know what happened to him.
