Title: Re: [nscumber] Obit: Dowe, Douglas C.
Hi Eileen:
You’re welcome.
It’s really cold here at –22 this morning but starting to warm up a bit with a mention of rain on the weekend. Luckily no power outages down this way so far.
I’ll send you Douglas’ parent’s marriage info off the list as they’re still living. This may help you in placing Douglas C. Dowe in your file.
In my file I gave Douglas an unknown spouse for his children in addition to Tammy Brown as a companion until I learn more.
Stay warm and don’t venture out on those icy streets.

Good morning Dave -
Thanks for the Douglas C. Dowe obituary - that gives me an
opportunity to do some research and fit him in with the other Dowes.
I need something interesting today - this horrible, cold, cold, cold winter is hard to deal with. Power outages for two days, ice, freezing rain, snow, bitter cold temperatures are not what I want in my vocabulary now. The streets have not been "old age friendly" for driving - taxis have benefited from this winter.
I do have an appointment this morning at East General Hospital to find out results of blood work I had there yesterday morning so will have to brave the cold and walk to the bus
stop - third time this week. Parking is so resricted in many places that it is easier to take bus, subway, etc. than drive and then have to walk even a longer distance.
Parking lot fees are horredous here. Guess there is a lot of ancestral Scotch blood in my veins.
Thanks again - always am looking forward to new information.
Eileen

Dowe, Douglas C. - 48, of Springhill, and formerly of Five Islands passed

cancer. Born in Springhill, he was a son of Elroy and Dianna (Lewis) Dowe,
Lower Five Islands. Early in life, he was a fisherman and lumberman. He
later worked at Surrette Battery in Springhill. Douglas truly lived life to
its fullest, and was not one to ever hold a grudge. He cared greatly about
all animals, but in particular cats. Besides his parents, he is survived by
his companion, Tammy Brown, Springhill; a daughter, Megan Dowe, of Five
Islands; a son, Shayne Dowe, of Five Islands/Alberta; several aunts, uncles
and cousins. Private family service will be held at a later date. Memorial
donations may be made to the L.A. Animal Shelter or to a charity of choice.
