SWINAMER, Douglas Norman - 75, Three Mile Plains, Hants Co., passed away September 14, 2004, at home. Born in Clarksville, he was a son of the late Otis and Edna Maude (Marr). He retired in 1988, after working for L.B. Stevens Ltd. in Dartmouth for 34 years. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 9, Windsor; a member of the I.O.F., member of the Gliders Club, Windsor, and a volunteer at the Dykland Lodge. He is survived by his wife, Joan (Walker); sons, Wayne (Judy), Ellershouse; Kenneth (Lisa), Lake Echo; Timothy (Vivian), Three Mile Plains; brothers, Freeman (Frances) and Herman (Doris), both of Three Mile Plains; sisters, Dorothy Lantz, Kentville; Evelyn Morash, Scotch Village; Doreen (Mrs. Orland Berggren), Belmont; Gail Berggren, Avondale; grandchildren, Monica, Justin, Taylor, Tarra-Maria, Melanie, and Jeremy; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Roy Albert, and Clarence; sisters, Helen and Madeline. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. today in St. Thomas Church, Three Mile Plains. A graveside funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Maplewood Cemetery, Windsor, Rev. David Curry officiating. Donations in memory may be made to Canadian Cancer Society. Without Douglas Swinamer's obit to be sure, this may possibly be
daughter-in-law of Otis Aubrey Swinamer who's mother was Cassie Lunn from
New Salem.

Life Legacy

Swinamer, Joan Helen ­ age 78 years of Windsor, passed away peacefully at
the Hants Community Hospital on January 13, 2014.

Born in Halifax on January 11, 1936; she was the daughter of the late
Reginald and Thelma (Schmeisser) Walker.

Left with fond and loving memories are her sons Wayne (Judy) of Ellershouse,
Kenneth (Lisa) of Lake Echo and Timothy (Vivian) of Three Mile Plains;
brothers William Walker of Dartmouth and Ronald Walker of Lantz; sisters
Doris Sampson of Greenwood and Lois Gallanger of Sackville; 6 grandchildren
and 2 great grandchildren.

Predeceased by her husband Douglas; brothers Harold and James.

Joan was a member of the Windsor Legion branch #9 auxiliary and the Hants
County Exhibition auxiliary.

In keeping with Joan¹s wishes, cremation has taken place and a graveside
service will be held on Friday, January 17, 2014 at 10am from the Maplewood
Cemetery in Windsor with Fr. Tom Henderson officiating.

Reception to follow at the Three Miles Plains Hall.

Special Thanks to the Hants Community Hospital staff for all their love,
care and support given to the family.

In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society would be
greatly appreciated by her family.
